How to create self exctractable zip file.....

Microsoft Windows XP has bulit-in utility for creating self extractable zip file.

Accept this Windows XP's bulit-in utility there are 3rd party softwares are available in market but Microsoft Windows bulit-in utility which name is "IExpress" is most powerfull and reliable utility.

To run this utility goto Run command of Windows and type iexpress and press enter.

                                                                     Run IExpress

You will see this utility.

                                                                         IExpress

Select first option and click next.

Now you will see these three options
Extract files and run an installation command
Extract files only
Create compresses files only (ActiveX Installs)

Select command which is suitable for your needs and click next.
Type package title (You can type any name like MyFirstExeZipFile)
Select Confirmation prompt options
No prompt
Prompt user with (A text box for customer prompt message).
Select License agreement option.
Do not display license
Display a license (A browse button for custom license file)
Packaged files option.


Add files you want to include in zip.

IExpress 3rd Step

Select "Show window" options
Default (recommended)
Hidden
Minimized
Maximized
Select "Finished message"
No message
Display message (A text box for custom finish message)
Select "Package Name and Options"
In this option select .exe file name and path where you want to save output of this package.


Select "Save Self Extraction Directive"
If you want to save all information and options used above for future use and save them other wise select Don't save option.


Select "Create Package"
This is the final step of the utility. After this step a final exe file will be created.



You can distribute that exe file for use.
